Your own image about yourself is the driver, which leads you to the tremendous success, mediocrity or to the disaster. This same image will drive your internet business to the top, if you want it. Most people in the internet business do not manage because they do not believe or imagine how good they are. The selfesteem is a process, not a one shot happening.
1.You Are What You Think You Are!

The secret to the internet business success is to think big and to imagine that you can reach it! This is the motivator for you so that you get the energy to run it and to stand the difficulties, which the internet business as a process produces regularly. The question is about the power to think and imagine.

2. Decide Your Attitudes!

Too many people think that the change in their internet business or in their life comes from the outside world, somebody will give it to them. On the contrary, everything starts from your thoughts or from even deeper, from the way how you think and what is your attitude towards the life and yourself. The attitude is our strongest power, which we can control totally.

3. Take The Responsibility About Yourself!

Another key thing is to take responsibility about yourself and about your internet business. If you do not take the responsibility you just try to find the reasons from the outside world and explain and explain all things in your life. Even you style to speak support this attitude: it is not me but the other people...

4.Set Clear Targets!

The first step towards better life and better internet business results is to know, where you are going, what are your targets? That is a big and difficult process of choices, because there are too many useful things for you, but you can run only one of them. Only one! Now you have to pick that one and to commit to that, and only to that, for a long period of time.

5.Write Down Your Plan.

It is funny how well the written plans work. Maybe the effect comes from the fact, that when you write something you have to think it and to decide carefully what you write. At the same time you get repetition because first you think and then write.

6.Build A Picture About Yourself As A Person You Want To Be!

It is amazing how well this techniques works. You will be what you think you will be. The way to the internet business success is a process, which gets the energy and motivation from the targets, from the picture you have in your mind.

7.See Yourself As A Powerful Person!

The first thing you have to realize is that you have the power to change yourself. No other person can do that, if you do not want it. We all have the ability to become successful internet business owners. That is a natural way, that is how nature wants us to behave, to be successful.

8.You See What You Believe To See!

We human beings will see, what we want to see. We pick things from the outside and from the inside world according to the attitude we have, we in a way fulfil our own picture all the time. We want to prove that we are right, because that makes our life easier. We also skip things which do not fit to our picture. Now think about this! How your own attitude influences to these things and to your internet business!

9. Small Changes Will Make The Big Changes!

Do you see the weather lousy or do you see the weather wet but challenging, a right weather to go out for jogging? This small difference in your thoughts can change a lot in your day and what you do. You have to lead yourself towards the positive thinking, when it does not come naturally.

10.Start By Cleaning Your Life!

You have a lot of garbage in your life, internet business and in your thoughts. Just throw it away. Leave it, because if you carry it with you, it reminds you all the time about the old days and you just cannot renew your daily habits. Throw away your old clothes, books and old files from your PC. Take brave steps towards the better life.

11.Just Start NOW!

Everything in the life and in the internet business starts by taking the first step, the first small move towards a new direction. But do not postpone it, take it now, when you read this. Postpone the reading and start doing something new right now!

12.You Must Strengthen Your New Imagine All The Time!

Do not even think that your new way will go automatically to the success, No, no and no! A lot of confirmation is needed, you have to tell everybody about it, you have to read books and articles about it and, this is important, you have to show in your daily life, that you are on your way to a new, better life.

This is the way to collect new things and friends around you, who are all supporting the same core idea about the life values. This way you can collect the group of same thinkers around you, who support you all the time.

13.Train To Act Your New Personality!

All new requires first the will to adopt that, then the picture about the ideal way, then the training the ideal way, then the repetition of the learned training. This must be done so long that the new attitude and thoughts will roll automatically. Then you can move to the next level, but the process will never end, there is no destination. The destination is the process!

About the Author
Juhani Tontti, B.Sc., Has Helped Hundreds Of People To Find New Ways In Life And In Their Internet Business . I know that a lot of people are just clicking away for credits in the hope that someone will consider what they are promoting. If this message means somwthing to even one person then so be it.

Last Thursday my dog-BUDDY-passed away at home. He was 11 and half years old. I got him when he was 5 weeks old and took him home because he was caked in mud and had been given wieners with the wrapping still on it. We(my family and I) hand fed him pablum and whatever. We went through some very difficult times financially having to move because we had trouble paying our rent. Our first consideration was making sure we could keep Buddy. 11 and one half later we were the only family he ever had. We do not regret our sacrifices because of what he gave back to us. The day he passed away he didn't want to go for a walk.He wanted just to stay at home on his blanket. He moved around to get water and such and I thought perhaps he was just tired or had a cold or something. I was working on the computer and he got up and started walking towards to me wagging his tail. He got to me-collapsed and within 2-3 seconds he was gone.I got the chance to hug him one last time. He didn't feel pain-it happened so fast-we didn't have to take him to the vet for euthanasia. I buried Buddy in a very special area where he loved to be.
I used to get very frustarted working on this web site seeing what I believe was a lot of garbage. I know marketing-it is what I do for a living-I know what is quality-I recognize who the con atrists are-Buddy recognized my frustration and not just for his benefit but for both of us he let me to know it was time to go down to the river for a walk.
Times are tough the experts say -those who have been succesful didn't let others influence their desires-they just kept on going. The con atrists/scammers recognize the fear that somw people have right now and see it as a chance to make a quick dollar dressing up and entitling opportunities such as calling them "gifting" -that's not gifting.
Here's my point-don't lower your standards-just keep on going. When Buddy died I thought I would just quit this web site thing and other things such as my love for gardening. Loving something also means when you lose whatever that is that you love you will feel grief. I am a grown man who wept like a child over Buddy. That was my right to do so.
The miracle of Buddy was our our success in not having to give him up and the painless and quick way of his passing. There is a God who provided those 2 miracles and the miracle of unconditional love that I experienced from BUDDY. Some may say he was just a dog-get another- some of you may identify with me what I am trying to say.

IN MEMORY OF "BUDDY" JUNE 13,1997-NOVEMBER 6,2008.

Glossary of Internet Marketing Terms

Glossary of Internet Marketing Terms

Affiliate Program: revenue sharing program where an affiliate web site receives a portion of income for delivering sales, leads, or traffic to a merchant web site.
Related terms: affiliate marketing, associate programs, affiliate merchants, affiliate network

Algorithm: mathematical formula used by search engines to analyze and score a web page for relevance. The term spam is also used by search engines to describe sites that try to fool the search engines to get a higher ranking by using methods that the search engines disapprove of, for example keyword stuffing.

Spider: automated program that follows links to visit web sites on behalf of search engines to fill and update their database.

Submission: the act of submitting a web page to a search engine or web site to a directory.

Traffic: number of visitors to your site, usually measured over a time period.

Unique visitor: an individual visitor to your site.

Web Marketing: any action taken to market a web site or company online including web site optimization, search engine submission, pay-per-click advertising and traffic analysis.

The Ten Commandments for online marketers

The Ten Commandments for online marketers

There is one Internet. It is a shared resource. Any marketing strategy that relies on polluting the internet by pushing unwanted noise into community space is suspect. It is one thing to strategically place information scent that leads users to your site; it is another to spray that scent on every tree and fire hydrant.
You shall use neither bots nor macros to create links, nor spread comments promoting your site. Spambots can not only cause your site to be banished by search engines, they leave a huge footprint across the web and can tarnish your brand with a stink that can't be washed off!
You shall not allow your advertising and affiliate dollars to go to scrapers, scammers, nor spammers.
Advertising budgets are the fuel that drives the spread of blight across the internet. Make sure your money is not promoting blight even if you must forsake short term profits in favor of protecting your brand. While it is easy and tempting to pour money into any channel with a positive ROI, you may be cannibalizing your brand in the process. Even if your strategy is making money and your brand survives, you are funding parasites who devalue the communities that support your business.

Honor your visitors. Do not sell impressions or links to companies you do not vet. As a publisher, you are endorsing your advertisers every bit as much as if you give them an editorial link. Caveat Emptor may be the motto of cut throat capitalism, but it is not a good strategy to protect your brand. If you are not satisfied with the moral and ethical practices of your advertisers, do not sell them advertising. Syndicated advertising networks offer an easy path to monetizing traffic in the short term but you risk associating yourself with the sites where you advertise.
You shall not make use of sock puppet accounts for vote stacking, spamming friend requests, nor other schemes. Sock puppetry and false friending is so obviously a form of fraud that no one can argue it is an ethical practice. Do not succumb to the argument that others are doing it if you want to build a sustainable business.
You shall not form cabals nor engage in elitist plots to disenfranchise people. Karma matters. If you treat others badly, they will eventually form a mob and come after you.
You shall not grieve other users by spoiling their fun, troll, nor post flame bait to get attention. Acting up to gain attention only works for a short while, then you get banned, filtered, and ignored.
You shall not scrape content, plagiarize, nor assist in the theft of virtual assets. Stealing content is stealing, simple as that. Scraper sites are the most prolific and pernicious form of Made For Advertising (MFA) sites.
You shall not distribute badware, scumware, spyware, nor malicious bots. This point is so self-evident it shouldn't have to be mentioned, except that the proliferation of Malware is accelerating and the potential damage it can cause is frightening. Criminal activities ranging from identify theft, transaction fraud, click fraud, and distributed denial of service attacks are all being carried out by botnets that contain hundreds of thousands of compromised machines. Most of the global spam problem can be traced to these compromised computers as well. Despite the clearly criminal nature of malware, Google recently estimated that 1.3% of search result pages contained a link to a site that potentially could infect the user's computer. Most of these exploits are distributed via Iframe injection through advertising networks.
You shall not covet your neighbor's traffic, nor engage in parasitic marketing. If somebody is doing well, give them a pat on the back instead of trying to pick their pockets.
The commandments represent what Internet users already expect. Unfortunately, many players rationalize their own breaches whenever a little cheating is profitable. We, the Internet community, need to take a stand against blight. Major online properties need a code of conduct to ensure that they do not contribute to the problem, and they also need best practices for controlling blight. Investors should ask managers what they are doing to protect the value of online assets. Everybody needs to worry when the next advance in black hat technology has the potential to turn billion dollar web properties into a slag dump.

Header Ads

I know your ads aren't working.

How do I know this?

Because I'm betting that you're probably getting a pathetically
low click-through rate and an almost non-existent conversion
rate out of those ads.

Let me explain.

The truth is, banner ads and link exchanges just don't work
anymore. People just ignore them completely.

Google and other major companies that get the bulk of their
profits from advertising have tried to counteract this
'banner blindness' by making ads different sizes
- which worked ... for awhile.

You can be the best graphic designer or copywriter in the
world - and it doesn't make one bit of difference. Your ads
still have a horrible conversion rate.

Want to know which kind of ads people don't ignore?
==> Header Ads.

The header is the area at the very top of a web page. It
usually includes the product name, maybe a photo of the
creator and a graphic of a software box or book cover.

It's also the very first thing people notice on a website,
and the very first graphic to load.

Now what if you could take this same header area from
someone else's site and put YOUR ads on it?

Can you see just how much more targeted that would be?
The site visitors can't help but notice it - which means
you get more click-thrus and more eager buyers coming
to YOUR site!

See what I mean at http://www.HeaderAds.com/1606

It's like getting someone else to do all the marketing
for you. All you do is sit back and watch as the customers
pour in!

And best of all - if you go to http://www.HeaderAds.com/1606
- you'll find out exactly how much this advertising costs:

Nothing!

But I should warn you. As soon as the big marketing
pros hear about this - their servers are going to fill up
fast. And once the space fills up, they might have to
start charging.

Get in now before it's too late - http://www.HeaderAds.com/1606

New and improved website

I sincerely doubt you will find another web site with as much valuable content as this one does. There are people who actually charge for this kind of information that is readily available on the internet for no charge as long as a person is willing to do a little research. I have noticed that upwards to 90 % of people trying to make monies are under the impression that all you have to do is click for credits on traffic exchanges, text exchanes or safelists. Those are 3 integral parts of internet marketing but are not the most effective methods. The marketing tools I suggest are extremely effective. Approximately 5% of the people bookmark sites like this one and actually go through it. 5% seems like a small number but 5% of all the people represents a large number. When you quit being open to learning your chances of success diminish. How would you feel if your doctor didn't keep up on the latest medical breakthroughs and decided not to learn anything more ? That would have an effect on your physical well being-not keeping up on marketing concepts will have an effect on your fiscal well being. Samples of the various ways of displaying ads can be shown and what you will find inside the site are on this front page. As of September 1,2008 they will be removed and you will only be able to view them inside. Please also consider joining one or more of the traffic exchanges, safelists or text ad exchanges I recommend so that this site gains more exposure. You might also want to look at my most recommended program- a real home based business that you may find interesting considering the current crisis in the real estate market throughout North America. Your comments are most welcome and can be made via the various methods found on my bio page.

http://www.blackbeltmarketer.ca

The Essentials

In the beginning there was the marketer. There are certain truths you come to understand the more time you spend making money online or trying to. Witness the evolution of marketing online. Whether you are new to the net game or an experienced pro, there is one thing you will have in common if you are moving towards entrepreneurial success. As you read this article you will realize what you have in common with all the other million dollar earners online, and what you're missing that can take you from where you are to where you want to be. So let's get started shall we? I will begin with a bullet point list and short explanation of the marketing necessities you want to have: For starters, most established markets will already be using this by default: -
A Domain: something specific to what you want to promote like (ex.www.mysite.com) -
Hosting:a place to put your site, if you're planning on making money find a paid solution so you look like a credible business and you cut back on high traffic crashes. -
A website:your image your presence and your marketing message, don't get pulled into the trap I see everywhere of trying to put too many choices on your website. Maximize on the effectiveness by only giving one purpose to a page. For example if you want to build a list - focus all your efforts and copy on that singular focus, if you want your site to sell a product, then only put that focus on your site. You'll also need a good editing program, and an ftp software to get this up and moving. -
A merchant account: If you have something to sell, people will need a way to pay you. There are a ton of great providers out there, but there are a specific few that give your visitors the security to pull out a credit card with assurance. -
An Autoresponder:This is a real necessity if you want a business and not just a hobby. When you have a family to support this is a real no brainer. This is your email follow up service. You get a name added to your list and this is where they go. You will use this to stay in touch and build relationships with your customers and soon-to-be customers. -
A helpdesk:in the beginning when your business and sales are small you can handle all the little questions and emails yourself. One of the things that will keep a small business is small is thinking I can do that myself if you want to truly grow; you need to share the workload (petty tasks) and focus on what you truly want to do creatively for your business. -
Membership Site software:once you're addicted to the internet marketing lifestyle, you will realize this oh-so-simple fact, it's great to make a sale, but it's even better to make a sale once and get paid for it every month. Continuity is king. -

The Black Belt Marketer-Marketing Dojo

Regardless of what you are promoting or advertising, this internet marketing training site will definitely help you in making a living online . What Do You Know, Joe?
By Lainie L

While strolling along the aisles of the national marketplace, I pretend to be astounded by the myriad of products and brand choices presented to me, all fighting for my attention. I notice that attracts me visually, jingle plays mercilessly in my head and the color theme of seems to remind me of a vacation I took many years ago. So why do I select instead of or What stimulates and motivates the act of making a purchase? From indecision to the knowing smile on my face, becomes my choice and can be the beginning of a loyal relationship with that brand or product. (Every marketers dream!)

Defining reasons behind these brand preferences can be a complex task, nonetheless it is certain the common thread will always be the experiential process, often referred to as the brand experienceHowever, this article is not intended to address the customers experience, it was vital to illustrate how buying decisions are based on these interactions or relationshipsRelationships? Yes, relationships. You see, everything we experience in the world is into ourselves. That relationship, how one thing fits into a singular perception is really the key to branding. There are really two sides to this relationship. The person having the relationship, and that to whom the relationship is formed. From the human perspective it's simple to define a relationship based on complex qualities of another person, like personality, core values, style, heritage, commonalities, likes, dislikes, etc. The more you have in common, the stronger relationships you have. That's why you have strong bonds with some of your friends over the bonds or friendships you have with others.

Now if we look at this from the perspective of the business owner, brand manager and / or head of marketing, your task is really to create a human connection with a person (your target audience) with your brand. But since your brand isn't a person, you must add dimension to your brand, giving it depth to which your customer can have a meaningful relationship with. That's the complex nature of a relationship you need to create for your brand with your customer. However, a brand is NOT a person and if you think of a piece of cardboard, an inanimate object, one will have a difficult time having a relationship with that. In other words, focusing on the nature of the relationship with the intent of creating brand loyalty won't do you a hill of good unless you are clear and focused about what and who your brand is.

This article is written to help you, the business owner, create and define a winning brand and provide the steps to define just what you do and who you are in order to allow your customers have a relationship with your brand.

As we address the relationship between the brand and its audience, being clear and concise about these brand must knows are at the foundation of your success.

1. Know your Personality.

Simply stated, different personality characteristics appeal to different audiences. On a subconscious level, people connect with brands that have likable personality traits, traits they can identify with a lot of times, traits that they aspire to be. The first step in uncovering a strong brand is defining your brand personality, which leads to increasing the overall brand engagement (and attachment,) in much the same way as people relate and bind to other people. Simply put, much of the work in the area of brand personality is based on translated theories of human personality and using similar measures of personality attributes and factors. For example, your customer may identify to a product for its characteristics, for its functional, social, emotional dimensions, it's human like- traits. he says, vehicles exude Christian family-oriented values I identify with while exudes pretension and further shows off athletic and competitive qualities that recognize in myself So think of this, if the category symbolizes who you are, then you will be tempted to buy a brand that has the same aspirations. Likewise, consumer would tend to buy a Porsche rather than a family car, if he feels it symbolizes who he is. An association is systematically set up in the consumer's mind. In this sense, every brand needs to be as unique as each of its consumer. However, your personality MUST BE AUTHENTIC. As humans, we do have an inner sense about these things. Be warned, we DO reject brands that lack authenticity and those whose personality characteristics are not consistent.

2. Know what you do well.

Based upon these criteria, the objective now is to maintain and promote the brand's uniqueness. Figure out what you do well and push it. Whatever qualities your product, brand possess, spotlight it, strengthen it, grow it. It will be the factor for differentiation and consequently will offer you the opportunity to carve a niche. To be credible in the eyes of your audience, your argumentation of sale may emphasize your know-how, your level of technology if it;s a strong asset, the passion that electrifies your work, the lovemessage or the care for the environment that carries assertively your product, therefore your brandThe marketing message should transpire and respect its promise.

3. Know why you do what you do.

But wait! There's more. Knowing what you do well is not all of it, the next step requires digging deep into motivation, drive and look at purpose square in the eye. It lies somewhere behind the motivation to make moneyand reveals the core purpose for doing what you do. It's pretty liberating, and the basis for creating what's commonly referred to as the brand promise In essence, your core motivations that drive your business benefit your customers in some way by fulfilling a need. Many businesses overlook this step and think the only strategy necessary is the Art of seduction, separating your customer from their cash and overlook branding is really the Art of Creating relationships between people. Delivering the brand promise based on your businesses passion or motivation and fulfilling your customers needs IS the basis for such a relationship. Armed with this knowledge, you are as step closer to facing the marketplace.

4. Know you Competitors

Know your market, know your competition, whether they actually exist or not. To do this, simply take a look around you, your market, your business category and your specific vertical. Are their other players orbiting your stage? Chances are, you have a lot more competitors than you think. To determine if they are really a competitor, evaluate if they have similar offerings, similar products or similar services. For example, a dance studio may believe he competes exclusively with other dance studios. But if his potential modern dance students think of the local swing dance instruction as offered by the local nightclub, the dance studio owner must evaluate the way Night club that offers their Lindy-Hop classes prior to the evening entertainment. The wanna-be Dancers with the Stars you want as a new customer may just choose spending their dance dollar elsewhere. In other words, that local nightclub IS considered a competitor, even though they sit in a totally different market segment. It would be in your best interest to learn more about what makes them successful and what about their offerings entices your potential audience. If you can mange to see things from your audience's perspective, you may just learn a lot. See if you can identify how your competitors satisfy their brand promise. Look at their marketing materials and promotional tools to try to get a sense of what you are missing. You may not be offering the night club atmosphere, but you can satisfy the promise of fun and provide the vehicle to allow your audience to dream of their feet dancing in beat with their famous counter-part.

5. Know your Target.

Knowing your target really means know the people you would like to sell to. Imagine yourself throwing a dinner party in your home for each and everyone of your customers. You know who they are, welcome them as a friend into your home and have a connection with each person. But that's impossible, you say! Well we know that, that's why we said, imagine In order to define those people (not demographics or metrics) you will need to segment the market as much as possible using 'psychographics' as your guide. This includes defining your audience through:

* Lifestyle: conservative, exciting, trendy, economical
* Social class: lower, middle, upper
* Opinion: easily led or opinionated
* Activities and interests: sports, physical fitness, shopping, books
* Attitudes and beliefs: environmentalist, security conscious.

It's recommended that you do some research to find out just how they purchase. For example, uncover their buying habits, defining preference traits like seasonal, local, volume and promotional decisions. With all this information uncovered, you should have a picture emerging of your 'ideal' customer (or who you want it to be).

Follow these five steps and you will have focused brand, which knows itself and knows its audience. In your quest to uncover your brand, be inquisitive, harass and tickle. Get into it and get clear. In the end you will have an authentic brand that will rise above the rest, be noticed by the right people and establish a relationship between your brand and your customer. Brand recognition is literally your brand, company or product, imprinted into the consciousness of your audience. Powerful process, keep it authentic!

About the Author: Jungle 8

Source: www.isnare.com
Permanent Link: http://www.isnare.com/?aid=208663&ca=Marketing

Branding yourself

Are You Branding Yourself?
Are you placing your email address and URL onall correspondence?

Many people forget to add this to important mailings and even their business cards.

Today, most people prefer to email messages than make phone calls, so it is very important to have your email address on all letters, invoices and business cards.

Make sure your URL (web address) is on everything that you send out. Keep "branding" your business.Keep that URL out where it can be seen.

It's not enough to have your phone number and fax number on your business cards or letterheads. Add your email address and URL if you have one.

It's important also to have a signature on all emails that go out. There is a cool free "signature writing"service at: http://www.TheDiscountPrinter.com/freeads.htm check it out.

Don't be left behind. If that istrue, then it's very important to have your name and email address out there.

Try to encourage email exchanges. The more emails you have going back and forth, the more credibility you will building your potential clien't head.

Offer something free. Your goal should be to have the person email you first asking for information or just a simple question. Once the ball starts rolling, your various email exchanges can easily turn into sales.

It's important to have a pop account or an account that reflects your company or website.

Using generic @aol.com or @hotmail.com really puts a damperon your look and makes you appear unprofessional. The thought process being that people were getting tied up in their underwear going ready, ad nausea, and never taking decisive certainly not a good thing. So instead, the pendulum swung to the other end of the spectrum. It became more fashionable to advocate shooting from the hip and taking action any action--for action sake. Hence, the rise of black belt marketing .

Let's assume that you've got a really exciting, new product or service. Maybe you've come up with a unique new pitch and concept to re-price and/or rebundle your current products and services e.g. with a time limited offer. Let's assume that you've got the right target audiences chosen as well.
Now you're itching to pull the trigger on some a big promotional barrage to get the word out using direct mail, or print advertising, or email, or fax, or other media etc. or various combinations.

Before you pull that trigger and unload with your big promotional campaign, go over the following checklist so that you'll be ready for what may happen next-generation of leads, inquiries, and buy orders.
I keep seeing companies that finally get the itch to tee up some potentially good promotions. They've got a good solid product (or service), package, and price. But they ignore the needed preparation for what is going to happen next. They aren't ready because they have not carefully planned for the consequences. As I've mentioned so many times in previous Debunkers, Marketing is not just promotions. It's a team selling game with the end result being a buy.

So before you pull that trigger trying to hit new or existing clients for more business take check off the items below. Make sure that:
1) Your messages are consistent across all of your marketing vehicles
. For example, if you're doing a big direct mail campaign and print ad campaign directing people to visit your web site, you can't have a site that is filled with dated, conflicting product and/or pricing information. Nothing confuses and turns off a potential customer more than key messages that don't match up.
2) Your own people know about the campaign and how to respond to inquiries from new prospects and existing customers.
Develop a set of 10-15 questions and answers applicable for Sales and Administrative folks (and possibly IT or whoever else might field an inquiry). Do some informal testing to see if they are paying attention to the FAQ'S. Get them excited about the campaign-it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone in the company.
3) Your products are super easy to buy
. As Harry Beckwith says in his classic book, Selling the Invisible, Some Marketing experts recommend that in creating a direct mail program, you should devote half your time to creating the reply form. The same goes for any online ordering form and ordering process. You almost can't make it easy enough for your customers to buy. The buying experience needs to be fast, easy and understandable (without lots of complicated options and instructions), and minimally invasive (without gobs of extraneous information required).
4) Your ordering and fulfillment systems work at scale
. If you're taking web-based orders, make sure that your tech folks have pounded on your ordering system and stress tested it for at least double the volume you might optimistically expect. Make sure that you've got enough manpower to handle the load of potential inquiries and orders and a contingency plan to ramp up just in case the business is a lot more than anticipated.
5) You have a plan for IMMEDIATE follow-up:
a thank-you letter, note, phone call or email and possibly additional valuable information based on key contact data that you are capturing about those new prospects. You've created some interest and a good impression ,now create some monies.

6) You've got the goods for delivery
. If you're selling physical goods of any type make sure that you've got the goods to deliver even faster than customers expect them. Customers hate back-orders.
All just common sense? Yes, but remember here, the point is NOT to over-plan, and wait, wait, wait to pull that trigger. It is though, to have the discipline to be ready and well prepared to handle the fallout of your promotional campaign(s)especially if you don't do a lot of promotions. Get ready and aim (but don't freeze up) before you fire, and you'll bring in a lot more quality prospects and sales. Or keep shooting from the hip with your promotions and watch your customers leave and competitors eat your lunch. Your choice.

The Essential Contents of a Marketing Plan
Excerpt from On Target: The Book on Marketing Plans by Tim Berry and Doug Wilson
Every marketing plan has to fit the needs and situation. Even so, there are standard components you just can't do without. A marketing plan should always have a situation analysis, marketing strategy, sales forecast, and expense budget.

Situation Analysis: Normally this will include a market analysis, a SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats), and a competitive analysis. The market analysis will include market forecast, segmentation, customer information, and market needs analysis.

Marketing Strategy: This should include at least a mission statement, objectives, and focused strategy including market segment focus and product positioning.

Sales Forecast: This would include enough detail to track sales month by month and follow up on plan-vs.-actual analysis. Normally a plan will also include specific sales by product, by region or market segment, by channels, by manager responsibilities, and other elements. The forecast alone is a bare minimum.

Expense Budget: This ought to include enough detail to track expenses month by month and follow up on plan-vs.-actual analysis. Normally a plan will also include specific sales tactics, programs, management responsibilities, promotion, and other elements. The expense budget is a bare minimum.
Are They Enough?

These minimum requirements above are not the ideal, just the minimum. In most cases you'll begin a marketing plan with an Executive Summary, and you'll also follow those essentials just described with a review of organizational impact, risks and contingencies, and pending issues.
Include a Specific Action Plan

You should also remember that planning is about the results, not the plan itself. A marketing plan must be measured by the results it produces. The implementation of your plan is much more important than its brilliant ideas or massive market research. You can influence implementation by building a plan full of specific, measurable and concrete plans that can be tracked and followed up. Plan-vs.-actual analysis is critical to the eventual results, and you should build it into your plan.

7 steps to financial success

7 Steps to Set Financial Goals for Your Online Business
Copyright © 2006 Peter Dobler

Every internet marketer wants to make as money as possible. But how much money do you really need? What are the financial goals you want to achieve with your online business? These are the fundamental questions you have to answer when you start an online business.
Like many others you probably stumbled into the demanding task of managing an online business by accident. You bought some ebooks, signed up for multiple affiliate programs, set up your own website, subscribed to several membership sites and at the end of the day you realized that this all costs a lot of money.

You are in desperate need of more income from your business. Common sense tells you that you need to advertise for your business. So you go out there and buy any kind of advertising. This leaves you with even more expenses and like many others not much to show for.
Now you are at the turning point. You have substantial expenses, but not enough earnings to support these expenses. The foolish continue what they are doing and hope for the best.
There's a better way to get your business finances under control. The following 7 steps should give you an idea how to straighten out your business finances and how you can prevent a financial Waterloo for your business.

1. Create a business plan.
This sounds like a broken record, but without a clear business plan you are setting yourself up for disaster. A business plan can be as simple as a few pages describing what you want to do, how you want to do it, how much profit you plan to make, how much money you have to begin with and how long you can survive before you run out of money or you break even with income and expenses.

The idea of a business plan is not to predict the future, but to create a roadmap for yourself, in case you get lost on your journey and need directions to save your business.

2. Separate your finances
It doesn't matter if you operate your online business as a real incorporated business or if you just want to test the waters. Mixing your business finances with your personal finances is a bad idea period. Create a separate checking account. Use it to deposit the checks you will receive and as the linked account for your business PayPal account. Yes, a separate PayPal account is necessary to track your business finances and to provide a more polished, professional image for your business.
If you don't have a separate credit card for your business, use one of your personal credit cards and use it for your business expenses only. This way you can easily track your expenses.

Knowing the exact financial situation of your business is vital for your survival. If you're loosing money you need to know right away to make necessary adjustments and if you're making money you don't want to wait until tax time to get a rude awakening.

3. Reinvest
A rule of thumb is to reinvest 75% of your earnings back into advertising for your business. In the beginning it can be as high as 100%, because you need to get the word out. Without customers you are not making any money. You do know that an online business is by definition a sales business? You are selling either a product or a service. If you don't, you don't have an online business.

Of course a startup online business has no income to be reinvested. However the same rules apply to the startup capital that every new business needs to get started. A new computer and a fancy new car won't get you any new customers, but good advertising will.

4. Keep track
You need to know where you spend your money at all times. In order to do this, a simple spreadsheet will get you started. Later you need a little bit more help from a professional finance program. Either way this will keep you on track with your spending and you will know how well you're doing at all times.

Keep track of your advertising. You need to know if your advertising is working or not. Like a real store you need to know why a visitor entered your store and if they don't buy get at least their contact information. Hardly anybody sells to first time visitors. Repeat business from visitors and customers are the bread and butter for any online business.

5. Organize
This is not only for tax purposes, but you need to organize everything you're doing with your business. Nothing kills your business faster than not knowing what pays your bills and to whom you owe money. Imagine you forget to renew your domain name registration. A few bucks could cost you a million dollar business. So do yourself a big favor and get organized with your business.

6. Repeat
Readjust non working advertising immediately. If it is not working, dump it. On the other hand repeat a profitable advertising campaign. Rule of thumb, if it brings in more money than it costs to run, keep doing it. This seems to be a simple rule, but many online business owners simply ignore this rule. Instead they are chasing the white elephant and end up with nothing to show for.
If you have a successful advertising campaign, keep it running and build a new campaign next to it. Never drop a profitable campaign, always expand. This is your safety net. In case the new campaign fails. In marketing there's never a guarantee. Be creative, track and repeat. That's the only way to get something going.

7. Expand
If your business is not growing your business is dying. Unfortunately this is reality in today's business world. This means that you need to adjust your financial goals for your business to allow for expansion. Consult your business plan to determine what went well and what went wrong. Whatever you do, always aim higher.
There you have it, 7 steps to set the financial goals of your online business. I know that it takes more than filling out a membership application to run a successful online business, but you can do it if you keep these steps in mind.

Importance of goal setting

The Benefits of Goal Making

People who set and get their goals are winners. Just think of the thrill of the athlete who wins the Olympic medal. Goalgetters have a special glow - feeling fulfilled and happy in their achievements.

By setting goals you can:
Improve performance
Increase your motivation to achieveÂ
Increase your pride and satisfaction in your achievements
Improve your self-confidence
Plan to eliminate attitudes that hold you back and cause unhappiness

Goal setting is an effective way
-of achieving what you want to achieve
-live the life you always wanted to live.

Research has shown that people who use goal setting effectively:

suffer less from stress and anxiety
concentrate better
show more self-confidenceÂ
are happier and more satisfied.

By setting goals, and measuring their achievement, you are able to see what you have done and what you are capable of. The process of achieving goals and seeing their achievement gives you the confidence and self-belief that you need that you will be able to achieve higher and more difficult goals.

The word -- Personal Development

This could be the easiest part of success, and that is you must personally develop in order to succeed. Of that there is no doubt, because what you are doing now isn't working or you would be where you want to be.
The part of the puzzle that is the easiest and the most powerful for your own success, is increasing your own personal development.

This part is easy, because there are very simple mechanics.
You Read Books.

Pretty much that is it and it has been through the experiences of my reading books that spoke of things I am dealing with every day, that helped me to grow.
I am speaking of books like 'The 21 irrefutable laws of leadership', by John C. Maxwell.
This book is excellent and gives a conscious explanation of things you already understand but were not using them in your daily life.
This book puts it into perspective so that you can prosper by the very laws of how things are, knowing 'what' they are.
So how important is personal development?

How can any of us grow without it?

I do not believe it is possible, so I read a chapter a night, or 10 pages and I do this about 4-6 nights a week.
If you read just one book a month, in less than 6 months you will have accomplished a GREAT deal and personal development will have already begun to occur. You will also see the difference in how you do things as well.

There are so many great books out there, and my recommendation is you find one and start reading it.
Find 'Think and grow rich' by Napoleon Hill. I have read this book several times and there is a wealth of information in this book. You can easily find this book at a thrift store for 25 cents. You can also find it anywhere for less than $7 new and so I heartily suggest the investment if you haven't already read this one.
If a man knows not what harbor he seeks,
any wind is the right wind.
-Seneca

Black Belt Marketing

From DEMC.com

Goal Setting
Black Belt Reveals Startling New Secret To Absolutely Guarantee Your Internet Success
By Rick Miller

What if there was a secret that would absolutely guarantee, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that you would achieve success in Internet Marketing and in your life? Is it possible that there is one single true cause of success?

What would that mean to your future?

In a recent interview for the List Crusade program, Jack Zufelt, a master black belt in karate and #1 bestselling author of "The DNA of Success", reveals the true secret behind every person who has succeeded in a gigantic way.

He shatters myths that you've probably heard well-meaning gurus, motivational experts, and success coaches teach in the past... It has nothing to do with goal setting, positive thinking, affirmations, mantra chanting, or even walking on hot coals.

Listen closely as I reveal Jack's first principle to reaching success: Don't rely on goal setting!

Although many trainers teach that you have to write down your goals or they won't happen, Jack believes this is pure nonsense.

Jack says, "I don't know one teenager who had a goal list to get a driver's license."

Just like that teenager, many people achieve fantastic things in their lives without writing them down, and the majority of written goals never materialize. Goal setting is not enough to guarantee success.

According to Jack, "If goal setting worked, everybody would be skinny, rich, happily married, or successful."

You may ask, "What is the missing ingredient?"

Here's a clue:

Jack gave an example of two individuals who both asked him what it would take to become a black belt in karate.

The first was a professor who told Jack that he'd had the goal of becoming a black belt for over fifteen years. When Jack told him that he'd need to practice an hour a day for four and a half years to become one, the professor was astonished and said he didn't want it that bad.

The second was a fourteen year old handicapped boy who Jack told that it would take five and a half years of practicing for two hours a day. The boy's response was "Is that all? When can I start?"

What's the difference?

One only had a small wish to become a black belt. The other desired it from the very core of his being.

Let me ask you: Is your goal that you want to accomplish merely a wish or a consuming desire?

This leads us to Jack's Secret Law To Guarantee Success: Discover your core desires by asking two simple questions.

These two questions will help you zero in on what you really want in life, whether it's related to health, finances, or relationships.

1) What would I like to have that I'm not getting?

2) If I had that, what would it give me that I don't have?

So how do you apply this to your Internet Marketing?

Most people have an underlying reason that they want an online business.

Maybe you want to have freedom from your job. Maybe you want to spend more time with your family.

Whatever it is, you absolutely must make sure that the reasons in line with (and supports) your core desires.

If you're online simply to make a buck, you probably won't have much luck or success.

If, however, the profits from your business are going to fund something that you want with your whole being, then nothing on earth is going to stop you.
